A themed tour of Rathfarnham Castle focusing on the dining and drinking habits of the 18th century élite in Ireland.
Drawing on menus and written accounts from the period, together with archaeological evidence uncovered in the Castle, the tour will consider what might have been on the menu at the table of Henry and Frances Loftus, Earl and Countess of Ely, during Rathfarnham Castle’s heyday in the 1770s.
