Amerghin are Cormac Breatnach, whistles; Anne-Marie O’Farrell, Irish harpist; Aingeala De Búrca, violin; and Brian Fleming, bodhrán/percussion. Drawing on their individual experiences across different musical genres (ie traditional, classical and rock) and with the unique sounds and textures of their instrumental combination, together, they bring a new voice to old and new Irish traditional music.
Amerghin appear as part of ‘Seachtain na Gaeilge’ an international Irish language festival and one of the biggest celebrations of our native language and culture that takes place each year in Ireland and in many other countries.
